Did you buy a window from Renewal by Andersen® of Spokane last year (January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014)? If so, we are happy to inform you that you may be entitled to a tax credit of up to $500!
The federal government has been supporting businesses and consumers who worked toward cutting down on energy consumption and increasing energy efficiency. That’s because reducing our energy use will not only help boost our economy but, more importantly, it will also help the environment. That’s why in addition to working with universities and businesses to develop new, more energy-efficient technologies, the federal government encourages homeowners all over the US to do the same and invest in home improvement projects geared toward a more energy-efficient household through projects such as window replacement in Spokane, WA. To help do that, the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was established. This act offers tax credits to homeowners who have implemented energy-efficiency improvement projects.
So what does this mean for you? If you’ve recently had a Renewal by Andersen home improvement project, or if you’ve purchased Renewal by Andersen products, you may be eligible for a tax credit of up to $500.
So how do you qualify for these energy efficiency tax credits? Just follow the simple instructions below:
- Your qualified Renewal by Andersen windows, which meet ENERGY STAR® performance requirements, must have been purchased and installed from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014.
- Make sure that you save a copy of the Renewal by Andersen Manufacturer’s Certification Statement, product performance sheet (NFRC Ratings/ENERGY STAR Qualification), and your sales receipt with your tax documents.
- You may then claim the tax credit associated with your purchase and installation on your Federal tax filing for 2014.
